Holiday Greetings

(Still getting a hang of technology... I thought the PDF of our Holiday Letter would transfer here... alas, not the case!  So, here is the cut and paste version without the fun colors but see the photo below that was nicely placed on the letter!)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the East Coast!
Yep, you heard that right! Delaware is now the new Morehead Home!
Hard to believe, but we have been out here since April! February and March were a whirlwind of all things moving. I resigned from my teaching position and we said many good-byes. Phil has been working here as an Underwriting Team Manager (State Farm). Just a couple weeks ago, he was switched to a different team for another great opportunity to gather more experience. I recently got a job at the public library a few hours a week (haven‘t actually started yet) - something to get me out of the house a bit!!
We love our neighborhood and have met some really nice people. The kids are really enjoying school. Lukas has been Student of the Month twice. It will be fun to see them both get on the same bus to head to the same school next fall! Seven is a champ… she survived the move! Her only constraints are she is not allowed to go upstairs (has fallen down them a couple times) and has to be on a rope outside (no fence).
The summer was busy with vacation in WI which included my brother’s wedding and a family reunion. Since April, we have snuck in a few visits to the beach (DE and NJ) and spent time visiting parks and museums in the area (with newly made friends). October brought us some very busy visits from the Grandmas - from aquariums to chocolate worlds to picnics and duck boat rides! We celebrated Thanksgiving with some new friends and had a holiday-themed weekend in New York in early December (On left – Phil’s photo/Columbus Circle/NYC). We look forward to celebrating Christmas in our new home as well!

There is such a wealth of fun things to see and do here (think Philly, NYC, DC, Baltimore - all within driving distance)! In the coming year, we look forward to guests sharing in our adventures as we continue to explore!
